Breaking the day to day routine

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Here is a very well put and refreshingly uplifting piece from my good friend Richard Pamplin @ www.TurnProfessional.com

As we move from day to day in the ongoing routine of building our businesses, sometimes it’s easy to forget what it’s all for.

Moving from prospect to prospect and from “no” to “no” can get daunting, boring and tiring, especially if we are committed to a six-day business-building regimen.

But through all the work and toil, it is critical that we not forget how to dream.

While I am a proponent of hard work and persistence, I also recognize that dreams have that special ability to drive us far beyond what we would otherwise normally do.

If the path has grown stale for you, if results are few and far between – take 30 minutes and sit quietly… and dream.

Dream of that day you signed up in your business, full of excitement and hope for the future.

Remember the promises you made. To yourself. To your family. To break the chains of financial bondage once and for all. To spend your time as you will – not as someone else chooses.

To travel and see sights few will ever see in their lifetimes.

To touch other lives and help create freedom for them.

To wake up on any given morning during the week, while the rest of America is hard at work at jobs they hate…

…and sit in the cool of the morning with a good book and a warm cup of coffee, smiling that you are free from the smog and stench of the rat race.

Dreaming about what can be, produces hope. Hope produces faith, and faith produces action, which, when practiced consistently, brings you closer to your new reality.

That reality is out there waiting for you, right now. It’s there for the taking if you want it bad enough.

Never stop walking the path. Never yield to the adversaries of doubt, fear or apathy. You were not meant for a life of mediocrity! You were meant to SOAR.

But even eagles need a push. I hope this little message has pushed you once again out of the nest and into the fight. There is a battle to be won. The stakes couldn’t be any higher.

Just a little farther. Your goal is in sight. You’re tired and you’re  beat up. But your dream is worth fighting for. It was when you signed that application. It still is. The hard work and commitment only makes the victory that much sweeter.

Send me an email or call me if you need reassurance and a friendly voice to remind you that your future is worth fighting for.

The rest of the world is satisfied to take what their boss gives them. Not you.

Now take a deep breath. Smell the warm air. And smile that you’re in the greatest business in the world.

Now back to the fight. Back to the work. Back to the commitment.

You have dreams to catch.

Run Hard, Dream Hard, Serve Well, and Live Free.

One of the best motivational stories ever

I’ve heard and used this story myself in several trainings, but this guy does it especially well.

The “authority” for building an online presence

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

It doesn’t take long to realize that there are a whole schlew of cheap ebooks full of crap out there.  They are so enticing because they promise to build you an online mlm empire and solve world peace “all for just $37″.  Problem is that they are all the same regurgitated crap.

Best place to start building your online presence is to get the most content rich and free ebook in the industry at http://www.authorityblackbook.com

Now keep in mind that this book does not talk specifically about building an mlm business, what it focuses on is building an online presence in which you can promote any kind of business and in the years that I’ve been doing network marketing there is no better free resource and few better paid resources than the authority black book.  Check it out now!

Beach Money

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

I just finished what will likely become one of my most recommended books relating to mlm success.  Beach Money does a phenomenal of simplifying the core concepts that must needed for mlm success.  In a day and age where most people are telling you to burn your list (only if you want to shoot yourself in the foot) Jordan Adler brings the readers back to earth with a commonsense game plan for how to maximize your most valuable asset which is the people you know.

Not only is Beach Money a great book for people seriously looking at mlm as a potential business but it is also a phenominal training tool.  After reading this book you will understand the simplicity of mlm better than ever and you will believe that your success is  in this industry possible through realistic actions that you know you can take.  Jordan shares experiences in his book that every simgle person that has ever attempted mlm can relate to.  More importanly he shares exactly how he overcame each obstacle in a manner that is realistic for anybody.

My top three book recommendations for mlm are now as follows:

1.  The Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen
2.  Beach Money by Jordan Adler
3.  Mach II With Your Hair On Fire by Richard Brooke

If you were paid $100 for every name you could think of, how many could you come up with? If you know their first name, or can picture their face, write down their name or whatever reminds you of them. DO NOT…

Wave 1 – Massive Exposure

Your job is just to get people in front of the tool that sells the business/product for you. You are not selling your product, your opportunity or even yourself; what you are selling is…

Wave 2 – Chinese Water Torture

On this wave of action you are dripping on your contacts with additional bits of compelling information that will nudge them closer to action. Unfortunately most folks in network marketing end up annoying people with the same old lines “so what do you think?” and “isn’t this great?” or…

Ride the Wave – Duplicate & Repeat

After completing a successful Wave 1 & Wave 2, you should have some momentum and excitement in your team. You should also start to see…

Closing Comments

What makes this system work is momentum. Momentum is the intangible force that will get people off the fence when they would otherwise not do so. The trick that makes this work…
